This is the product development for my music advert. We used Photo-shop to construct the advert and used many conventions of an advertisement.

After a discussion with my partner Aruran we have decided to change a font. We put a couple of potential fonts together to compare them, allowing us to pick the best one. We really liked the first font as we feel it matches the theme well and looks apart of the image. I showed my media teacher the fonts and she really liked the last font in the image below. With deep consideration we have decided to go for the first font as we feel it stands out from the other five.

I then had to think about where we want the text to be positioned within the photo to be effective. We experimented many different text positions and came up with these. After putting the images on Facebook most of the positive feedback received was about image one. I took this feedback to my advantage and chose image one for my final product for my front cover.

Feedback - I have showed my media class the five above front cover images I have designed for their personal opinions on them all. The majority of the class favorited number one and number five. They felt that these two front covers stood out the most and liked them most. I then made a personal decision to decide which one of the two will be the front cover. I have decided to go for number 5 as i felt that although number 1 looks good the artist face is not as clean and may have less impact on my target audience.

I have been editing some of my photos for the digipak and I have decided that I want the photos to look different from the originals and I want them to be very eye catching due to their uniqueness. I played around with different effects allowing me to change the colour, contrast, background and gradient. After a lot of experimenting this is what I came up with.

Weather

Me and my partner Aruran are looking to record shots in both day and night time. We want to do this to give us a variety of shots to select from while editing our music video. We are weary of the night shots as we are afraid that the quality of the shot may drop because of gradient. We can avoid this by taking our night shots under street lights to avoid grading. We are also looking to take a shot while it is sunny and a shot while it is raining. We want to do this to allow us to experience different weather conditions while recording. This could help improve our camera skills as we will learn how to behave while recording in different weathers.

This is a shot we took in the day while the sun was out within our sixth form.

These shots were taken on the video shoot in Harrow skate park (Saturday 20 October). They have been edited to bring out the colours in the images. We may use one of these photos to promote the music video. We can add text into the image i.e. 'Moonz Outkast - Starry Eyed (ft. Prof.Hit)'. The top image is going to be used as the back cover of our digi-pack.

Audio Selection

I have been looking through many audio tracks produced by my self and I have decided what one I am going to use for my music video. The song is very fast paced and has a very good baseline in the body of the track. This will allow me to edit the track better as i can use cuts on the base making it look smooth and in place.

Now they got me shining like poles. I'm putting hearts on a page and watch it turn into gold.
