In this task i was provided with random video clips of Radio Head. I also got a list of songs to pick from, i chose Ignition by R Kelly. I edited these clips to go on beat with the song almost as if i was to make a parody. I did this and put it all together to produce my final product in the link above. I had to make sure that the dancing is edited on beat with the audio so i had to be very selective with the video clips i would use. If i didn't edit with the beat the visuals will look separate from the audio making the visuals look out of place.

Preliminary Task 2 (Mouth Syncing)
In this second preliminary task i had to once again sync the audio with video clips provided, the only difference this time is i had to lip sync instead of syncing dance moves. I found this task a lot easier as i had done this many times before with my personal music videos. I edited three different shots and angles together to create a sequence. I used markers to help me lip sync, this came in handy as it allowed me to keep in track with the position of where the track would start, allowing me to line up the audio with the visuals accurately.
Preliminary Task 1 (costume)
In this task i was provided with some clips of people dressed up in animal costumes dancing to music. I had to sync the music with the dance moves. This task was slightly difficult as i had to make sure that i edited the dance clips on beat with the sound track or it would look sloppy. I feel i managed to do this to a good level as the shots cut as the base hits to different scenes as shown below.

Lip syncing exercise
Over the summer i recorded a 'live session' that included lip syncing. I performed a pre recorded song called 'Raindrops'. We recorded the performance four times and in four different angles, these included a medium straight shot; a high angled medium shot and a close up shot. We also included a tracking shot using a dolly, slowly rolling the camera around me from right to left and left to right as i performed the song. This gave us a variety of shots to chose from while editing.
Editing and sound had to be brought together as we fitted in the lip syncing. I had to make sure that my lips would move along with the words making it look natural and smooth. Unfortunately the lip syncing got delayed on upload making it slightly out of place but there was nothing i could do to prevent this from happening. I used markers to help me lip sync accurately. I put a marker on specific words on where the beat drops making it easier to line up.
